Abstract

Zeolite crystals of micrometer size were micropatterened on glass by covalent linkages. Various covalent linkages between the zeolite crystals and the substrates are formed during the well-established polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microcontact printing. The zeolite patterning method presented many advantages over the previously presented methods with respect to ease of preparation, short preparation time, uniform alignment of the assembled crystals, versatility of the surface modification, good processability for mass production, wider choice of substrates, and clearer nature of bonding between the zeolite crystals and substrates.
