Abstract

This study examines the structural relationships among perceived crowding, destination attitude, destination attachment, satisfaction, and revisit intention. It also investigates perceived differences in these relationships between domestic and international tourists. Data were collected from tourists visiting Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, from October 2023 to February 2024. The findings underscore the significance of destination attachment as both a predictor and mediator of revisit intention. Furthermore, evaluations across domestic, international, and aggregated datasets revealed a statistically significant relationship between destination attitude and destination attachment. Perceived crowding does not significantly affect destination attachment, satisfaction, or revisit intention across these groups.
