Abstract

Not all men who have LUTS can be adequately treated with α-blockers alone. Based on objective urodynamic diagnosis, combination treatment can be started early, circumventing the need for an evaluation period of α-blocker monotherapy usually lasting several months. BOO with concomitant DOA appears to be able to safely and accurately be treated with the combination of α-blockers and antimuscarinics.
